APPROVAL OF MEMBERSHIP
Shipping Corporation of Polynesia Limited have ablolute discretion to accept or reject applications for membership for whatever reason. Confirmation of membership will be through the issue of the MV OLOVAHA PASSENGER DISCOUNT CARD.
In the event of the rejection of an application the applicant shall be entitled to a return of their discount card fee.
TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP
Passengers who comply with the terms of the MV OLOVAHA PASSENGER DISCOUNT SCHEME shall be entitled to discounts on passenger fares for sailings on MV OLOVAHA on the Nuku'alofa / Ha'afeva / Ha'apai / Vava'u route only.
Special Discount:
November Special on single fares
Scheme members shall be entitled to a November special discount of 40% on economy class passenger fares for voyages leaving in the five week period from 30th October 2006 to 30th November 2006.
Special discount on return fares
Scheme members may purchase a return ticket for the price of a single for voyages leaving in the seven week period from 16th October 2006 to 30th November 2006 conditional on the passenger returning within 30 days of the first sailing. No refunds are available for return tickets not utilised within the 30 day period.
Standard membership discount:
A standard membership discount of 20% on economy class passenger fares shall apply to all sailings on MV OLOHAVA on the Nuku'alofa / Ha'afeva / Ha'apai / Vava'u route for the period from 1st December 2005 to 31 December 2007. - Scheme benefits extended one year at no cost to members.
A standard membership discount of 10% on business and first class passenger fares shall apply to all sailings on MV OLOHAVA on the Nuku'alofa / Ha'afeva / Ha'apai / Vava'u route for the period from 1st December 2005 to 31 December 2007. - Scheme benefits extended one year at no cost to members.
Special discounts may be available to members at any time in the scheme at the absolute discretion of SCP.
To benefit from the discounts available to members valid membership cards for passengers travelling must be presented at the time of purchase of the ticket. The membership number and passenger name shall be entered on the passenger ticket.
Passenger tickets sold under the passenger discount scheme are only valid for travel when members travel with a valid membership card
matching the membership details on the passenger ticket. The member is required to show both the membership card and passenger ticket on
demand by any crew member or authorised SCP personnel at any time while travelling.
If a member is found travelling with a discounted passenger ticket but without carrying their valid discount card, he/she
shall be required to pay the difference between the discounted ticket price already paid and the full fare for the journey.
If a card that has not been notified as lost or stolen is used (or attempted to be used) by anyone other than the holder for the
purposes of travel, then the card and ticket will be seized and retained for cancellation without compensation and the fraudulent
use will be reported to the appropriate authorities. Unless a satisfactory explanation is offered by the member an application for
a replacement card is likely to be refused.
Members are required to notify SCP immediately should there be any changes to this information provided in the membership application.
Members are not permitted to lend their MV Olovaha Passenger Discount Card to any other person for purchase of Pasenger tickets other
than for their own personal travel.
Members are required to notify SCP immediately in the event of a lost or stolen passenger discount card.
SCP reserve the right to change the passenger fares on MV Olovaha at any time.
SCP may store the information provided in membership applications in computer and manual records.
SCP reserve the right to amend the rules of the scheme from time to time. The membership rules shall be available on request by any
member from the SCP office.
SCP shall not disclose information except as incorporated within voyage records or where required by law or in obedience to an order of court.
SCP may use information held for marketing of services operated or managed by them.
